On Our Shelves – WARM Edition

One of the best things about the WARM program is hearing what YOU are reading! Skagit readers are submitting their reviews on our website and in the library – here’s what’s on their shelves at the moment:

poisoners handbook

The Poisoner’s Handbook by Deborah Blum

Reader’s Verdict: “Definitely not a pick up/put down type of book but worth reading if you have the time. The scientific descriptions can get tedious but it is a good story with lots of rich and sometimes shocking historical information.”

Barely Bewitched by Kimberly Frost

Reader’s Verdict: “This is an excellent paranormal romance series. They are fun mysteries with plenty of adventure, magical misfires and complicated relationships. I like that the “romance” aspect emphasizes the relationship vs. the cheesy sexcapades found in other paranormal romances. Great characters, a strong storyline, and smart writing provide some laughs. I’m currently reading book #3 and looking forward to #4 in February!”

slightlyspellbound

Slightly Spellbound by Kimberly Frost

Reader’s Verdict: “Even better than the first two! The relationships are even more tangled and intriguing. There’s still lots of trouble and many laughs as the heroine struggles with her magical mess of a life. This is more centered around the main characters interactions vs. their previous trouble with outsiders – but there are still plenty of antics and good sleuthing!”
