Focus on books: making a living

If you’re job hunting in Burlington, count yourself lucky.  Not so much to be job-hunting, which can be quite the harrowing activity; but lucky because you have access to a library stocked to the gills with resources to help you.

Computers, one-on-one tutoring, classes, books, databases, encouragement, a cool place to be on a hot day… the library has it all for you.

And if you’re tired of job-hunting and decide to set out on your own, we also have tons of resources for people starting or running their own business.  Most recently we got a ton of great books–not only books about writing your resume or interviewing, but also books like Self Leadership and the One Minute Manager; The One Minute Manager Builds High-Performing Teams; How to Say It: Business to Business Selling; The Right-Brain Business Plan: A Creative, Visual Map for Success; and  The New Rules of Marketing & PR: how to use social media, online video, mobile applications, blogs, news releases, & viral marketing to reach buyers directly.

Whatever you’re doing to improve your educational, career, or business outlook, we’ve got the resources to help.  So spread the word!
